Movie Review: Quarantine (2008)

Oh boy, yet ANOTHER “found footage” horror movie where we the audience gets to see the action from the camera’s point of view and the biggest scare of the movie is whether we can keep our food in our stomachs in enough time to run to the lobby bathroom...

Angelina Jolie’s Breast Feeding Pictures

Fan Boys love them some Angelina Jolie, but do they love her enough to check out some "private" pictures of her breast feeding? Where do you draw the line? The cover of November's issue of W magazine boasts EXCLUSIVE: BRAD PITT'S PRIVATE PHOTOS OF ANGELINA JOLIE, or aka Angelina breast feeding. Maybe the couple wanted to upstage, Demi Moore's 1991 Vanity Fair cover, or as Wil suggested over at 2Snaps.tv, steal Jamie Lynn Spears' breast feeding pictures spotlight. Or maybe they just wanted to celebrate the wonderful, joys of motherhood.

David Heavener Confesses Interview by Amanda By Night

David Heavener has played everything from a mentally unstable Viet Nam vet to a Ragin’ Cajun (in what else? Ragin’ Cajun!) to a down on his luck baseball player, yet the idea of Heavener donning a priest’s collar somehow still comes as a shock. Most people know this rugged actor as the dude kicking major boo-tae through various 90s indie action films (Kill Crazy, Kill or Be Killed, Twisted Fate). However, you might not be aware that he is behind the camera almost as often as he is in front of it. Much like Tom Laughlin (Billy Jack), Heavener figures the only way you’ll get something done the way you want is to do it yourself. In the last two decades, he has starred in-directed-produced-written over ten films. What is the key to his poly-hyphenated lifestyle? The modest filmmaker admits, “It is easy when you have good people around you, which is what I have. I love to act the most.” His latest creation, Confessions of an Exorcist started out just like all the others, but as things began to develop Heavener found that there just might be a home for an episodic series based on exorcisms. I tend to agree.

Shriekfest Report: Lovecraft: Fear of the Unknown - Dark Reel

Shriekfest is a great homespun kind of festival. It’s an intimate affair held at the Raleigh Studios in famous Hollywood, CA. I’m pretty big on the shorts the fest chooses because they are uniformly excellent but this year I could only manage to see two of the features, Lovecraft: Fear of the Unknown & Dark Reel... What I love so much about this festival is that not only is Raleigh Studios a fantastic studio to visit but you can sometimes find yourself hobnobbing with the likes of Harry Manfredini or Tony Todd, like I did this year. What can I say, it makes me feel important. So there.

R-rated Dead Space: Downfall Clip

After the jump is a special sneak peek of Anchor Bay’s animated horror movie Dead Space: Downfall. The video is an R-rated clip (cursing and violence) called Hospital Bed, and it’s just a small taste of what’s to come in this October 28th release on DVD and Blu-ray Disc.
The Final Satan’s Screener: Splatter Farm (1987)

This time, Mark revisits the movie that he often claims was the worst movie he's ever seen. He even tries to get the help of his friend Jeremy, whom he first watched the movie with originally, but with no success. So, he watches the DVD and much to his surprise, he likes it. The new delux edition DVD is actually watchable due to massive amounts of reediting by the Polonia since the original VHS copy was a rough cut version of the movie that the distibution company released so many years ago (and is quite unwatchable). Still it's the last episode due to Mark's reation to prospect of having the VHS copy again, which has to be seen to believe.

New Trailer For The Unborn

The Unborn keeps popping up on my radar because of Meagan Good, who is in the new Saw film. Rogue Pictures sent us a bunch of photos from the film, but they are boring and not worth uploading to the site (I did include the most interesting one below). These pictures of Good in a see-through shirt are much better, however, you can check out the trailer for the film here.

The Gingerdead Man & Rodeny King in Rehab Together (Celebrity Rehab 2 Trailer)

It's funny writing The new cast of Celebrity Rehab has been announced! Welcome to 2008, where drug addiction can make you re-famous. This season looks great, and for two reasons; Gary Busey and Rodney King. We can make a celebrity out of anyone. Did King have to submit a resume to producers that read:

- Got My Ass Kicked by The LAPD
- L.A. Was Destroyed in My Honor
- I Drink Too Much and Vomit Out of Trucks

DVD Review: Joy Ride 2: Dead Ahead

Joy Ride was by no means a great film, yet of course we have a sequel. The original film was enjoyable as it was because we were given fun characters and regardless of the torment they were on the run from, the light comedy worked very well off of the tension of the chase. Joy Ride 2: Dead Ahead has the same type of chase scenes from the deranged trucker, Rusty Nail, but that is where the commonalities end. A lot was lost in the translation of the two films, particularly the charisma through characters that were both real and likeable. Joy Ride 2: Dead End is clearly trying to copy many elements of the first one and although it is not as high of a quality it is harmless entertainment.
