"The New Girls" vampire movie now has a title!!!! New Trailer up!

Allright, well, we're not done with The Last Battleground yet, literally two more scenes to film. One we run over a giant monster, take 10 minutes the other one is kind of the epilouge, got some voice over stuff to do...but other than that, it's a wrap.

I've already got my next two movies planned out. The next one is a vampire movie. This is the closest I've come to making a "normal" film I guess. I was very reluctant at first, I didn't want people to think I'm trying to ride the coattails of this "Twilight" bullshit. But I got talked into it and once I started writing it (got about 20 pages) I realized how much fun this is going to be.

I'll be back with a more detailed post later,

FOR NOW though...here's a quick little effects thing I did. This scene is actually from The Last Battleground, but I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to do these red eyes I want to do. So I took some footage from that and threw this together-

Well we've "officially" begun filming this thing, even though "The Last Battleground" still isn't done, but as soon as I start writing and get script pages locked down we just dive right in. No reason to wait. I have about 30 pages down, so we've got plenty to film. I want as much as possible because one of our main girls is leaving for 10 days, so I need as much stuff written so we can film whatever we can without her. We're starting with some of the small stuff first, so this is actually two different scenes, about 15 minutes apart when they're in the movie, but we filmed them in one night.

Again, nothing exciting, just two folks talking. This one isn't going to have as much insane stuff like TLB, but well...as I post more and more..I think folks will agree that this might turn out to be a better movie...and I'll let you know why when I start putting up more pics...but here ya' go...

What is your movie about?

Hmmm well...damn...I hate trying to write a synopsis about my movies-

Long story short...

Cody (dude pictured) gets involved with a one of three vampire chicks (played by Liz Dockter, Kim Haarman and Casey McMillan) and one of his friends (Dan Sorenson) finds out what these girls really are and that they've been running around town killing people. Things get complicated, vampires are everywhere, people are dying, and Dan and some of his other friends set out to destroy the vampires and save their friend.

But does he even WANT to be saved?

There ya' go. But damn there's SO much more than that...just keep an eye out for updates and pics...see if you can get a better idea of the movie from them.

Okay. So originally we were going to have some really bloody vampire stuff. Our first kill so to speak, but it didn't work out so we jumped to plan B.

Now we were going to film at one location, but the lights there weren't working, so we jumped to our second location only then the camera wasn't working, we thought it might just be the tape, so we ran and got some more, but it didn't help. So we jumped on the internet, found a quick fix, then we were up and running...

and the battery went dead.

See, now a lot of people would say, "God just doesn't want you filming..." That's a bad attitude...the RIGHT attitude is, "God's seeing how BAD you want to film. He wants to see how bad you want it."

When I'm making one of my movies I DON'T STOP.

So we came back to my place to charge up and we went at it and it turned out to be one of the best nights of filming we've ever had. Stuff came out so good.



These two are pretty much the heart and soul of the movie, they gotta have chemistry...



It was hard to keep it up but man, they did it and impressed the hell out of me.



















So that's it folks...the vampire movie is on a role now. We film again Thursday, STILL not cool vamp fanged teeth though...

but it's on the way!

Headed on down to the library today to nab a quick scene. It's important because it introduces a character who's kind of throwaway at first, but as the movie goes on she becomes one of the most important people. She's actually the Van Helsing of the movie.

Believe it or not the hardest thing about making movies is actually getting people to film. Some of my cast are awesome, others it's like pulling teeth. I can't complain, because all things considered they're amazingly loyal, but it is the most difficult thing.

We filmed tonight, but I'm trying like hell to finish up editing on The Last Battleground, there's just so much to it, so I'm damned tired and won't be putting up pics. Tommorrow hopefully...

then we film again on Wednseday, and if everything goes right...I'll actually have some vampires pics.

Yes...I do have vampires in my "vampire" movie.

Also, some news about effects soon. I've nabbed myself a bonafide effects artist...my own little Savini.

Yeah, yeah, been hearing that shit for years. 

But actually, that's what might set me apart from all the other yo-yo's. This crazy ambition I have. I dunno...could be...

Don't write The Last Battleground off yet. Paper mache (which they're not  ) monsters or not...

...but don't worry, I hear you. I'm keeping myself in check when it comes to the effects in this one. I keep wanting to get bigger but I have to reel myself in and keep shit simple.

We do have some cool stuff planned though. The pics here are from the first 10-15 mins of the movie. Things start getting crazy as the movie goes on. Can't wait to get to the stakes and crosses and burning...
