It's an AWARD...straight up...and you picked me over others...and that really does means something to me, I'm telling everyone in the world, it's going to be on DVD covers, and the quotes going to be in my trailers: "Awarded best director of the year by horrormoviecentral"
-and they'll be asshole people that say, "Pffhttt...that's some little website" but I'd NEVER look at it like that, and you shouldn't either. Make no mistake, this is awesome to me, and it might not mean anything to a lot of people, but it's just another cool push to keep me going.

Yea I heard back from pretty much all the award winners except Jonathan Lewis.
Emil Hyde said he was humbled, Thomas Berdinski is handing out discounts on his movies, Seth Martin said thanks, and Sony pictures had no comment. I'm actually suprised that people are enjoying it this much. Even some of the nominees who didn't win thanked me.

Well it's such a thankless job doing this kind of thing, people are so cynical and jaded, it's nice when someone gives you a small pat on the back and says, "Hell man, good job." I'm sure I'm not alone when i say that it really does mean a lot.

It was just nominated for worst film I actually reviewed. Next year will be a better list probably since Maskhead is already leading the pack. |
