Here's the thing with Bleed.
It's 2 1/2 hours.

Now some people say it doesn't bother them at all, others just can't hang, which is fine. It's definitely the kind of movie you have to set aside time for.

You have to watch this thing. But there isn't a wasted scene in it. All the talk, all the conversations, if you don't pay attention, by the time the end comes around, you'll be lost. All in all there's a nice little half hour chunk in the middle where it drags...it had to happen though, but once all hell breaks loose in that last half...well...the thing takes off like a rocket.

Bleed is actually the second movie I made (damn near 6 years ago now), and it's finally getting released this year. This was the one I said, "Yeah, now I got a basic idea how to make a movie...editing, music, I gotta good grip...now lets see what I can do."

The plot follows several kids as they wake up in the middle of the night. They all walk to a street corner and none of them know why they're there...they don't know why they took that walk. They know each other vaugely from school, but none of them are really friends.

They stand out there for a little while, then decide to just go home...
but on the way...they're attacked by creatures...

....they get chased to one of their garages end up trapped until daytime. When the sunlight comes they see that the monsters are gone, but not only that, the entire town is empty.

I really don't want to give it away...because then you'll be sitting there watching the movie knowing exactly what's going to happen and all the surpirse will be gone (I've said too much already!). Suffice to say they're trapped in this empty town with no way out...

and then...well...there's lots worse things than monsters out there.

Bleed is a very surreal movie, it presents this mystery...where are they, how did they get there? And the thing I REALLY wanted to do was answer it, with no cop-outs. And I do...by the end of the movie it all gets explained and it's original.

I like Bleed quite a bit. There's never really been anything like it. I think the thing that holds it back the most are the monsters. It was the first time I'd attempted anything like it, I had no idea what I was doing. But despite that...Bleed holds a hell of a special place in my heart.

There's some downright shit I think is just amazing in it...

And it's coming out this year from Medicine Show Cinema...

I honestly can't wait...
