The worse news? This one is out of print on VHS! I want Shock-O-Rama to release it on DVD--possibly in 2008, when I'll be hyping SLIME CITY's 20th anniversary--but they want me to do a documentary for it. I'd like to, but have no time at the moment. The film's real title is UNDYING LOVE.

I started watching it and of course got interupted plan to finish it in a day or so. It has too many razors, I can watch anything except razors and people trying to kill themselves with them. i hid under the blankets.

Nope! We contacted Julie Lynch, the femme of the film, to do some poses for a cover, but she was too busy post-producing her directorial debut, starring in a 1-900 TV commercial (in which she sat on a wicker chair identical to the one I planted her on in my film, and which I spoofed in NAKED FEAR--"Call me now!"), and hosting women's kickboxing on cable. So Shock-O-Rama chose this gal instead. I've got news for you: they retitled the film NEW YORK VAMPIRE, but that sure as shit isn's NYC in thae background; the model and the industrial landscape are both products of New Jersey.
Not only is the redheaded vamp not in the film, but that box art is completely misleading as to the nature of the film, which is dark and subdued. That's showbiz.

it's not at all a cheesy T & A vampire flick, which is why the cover is so misleading. It's a "serious" downtown vmpire deconstruction, like NADJA or THE ADDICTION, only not boring. I say "serious" but it's still pretty funny (sometimes intentionally).
But it does have a pretty wicked blowjob scene...

Jeez, it has been a while. UNDYING LOVE will be released on DVD this June, as part of the coolest DVD package I've ever had, with an unbelievable cover and a shit load of extras. I jsut got back from New Jersey, where I supervised the telecine transfer of a 16m print of the film to Hi Def for DVD, shot some interview footage, and did a new commentary track with Tom Sweeney. Had I not whacked my head boarding the plane on the way home and gotten a concussion I'd say it was the best weekend I had in a long time.
