I've written two chapters--one on the original BLACK CHRISTMAS and one on SUSPIRIA--for an upcoming book on slasher films coming from Hadesgate Press.  I've seen the book identified as:

THE ULTIMATE SLASHERS
THE ULTIMATE SLASHER MOVIES
THE ULTIMATE SLASHER MOVIES GUIDE

--Always followed by "Volume 1."

This much is certain: It will be ultimate!

What the hell ever happened to this book?  I guess the original publishers ran into trouble, went out of business, or jsut couldn't deliver.  I thought it was dead, but then Vince Liaguno's Dark Scribe Press piced it up, retitled it "Butcher" something or other, and is refocusing it somewhat.  The good news is that both of my essays "made the cut."  The better news is that I'm getting paid for both of them (the previous publisher wasn't paying anything, and they STILL couldn't get it off the ground).  The shitty news is it won't be out for  ayear and a half.  Not that any of you give a shit...
