The JOHNNY GRUESOME/CHEAP SCARES Book SIgning Tour

My joint book signings for JOHNNY GRUESOME (TPB in stores October 1st) and CHEAP SCARES! LOW BUDGET HORROR FILMMAKERS SHARE THEIR SECRETS (sometime this Fall.Winter) begins with Rue Morgue's Festival of Fear in Toronto in 2 weeks, then goes all over New York State and Pennsylvania, climaxes with a cool signing at Dark Delicacies, then wraps up in New York City in December.

At FOF, Medallion is giving away free JOHNNY GRUESOME books, T-shirts, magnets and temporary tattoos. At the launch party as Rotten Jack's Creepshow here in Buffalo, Gunnar Hansen--who blurbed JOHNNY--and Debbie Rochon--who blurbed CHEAP--will also be guests. At my first official signing, Giasone Italaino, who co-wrote and performed the GRUESOME CD, will perform a live set of songs; at the second signing, in a mall, Johnny Gruesome will be appearing dead and in person. At Dark Delicacies, a couple of up and coming filmmakers profiled in the book--Robert Sabin and Devi Snively--will be appearing with me. When I get to NYC, I hope to get Roy Frumkes, Larry Fessenden, Scooter McCrae and James Lorinz to sign with me.

So things are looking pretty good even if this fucked up economy is preventing people from investing in indie horror films. Medallion will be advertising JOHNNY in Fangoria and Rue Morgue for 3 months, something I've never seen a publisher do for a horror author before,
