Thanks for that, Larry.  I did submit to Horrorfind, which will be in Gettysburg this year, but I'd love to screen in Baltimore as my executive producer lives there and would put me up for free.

Good deal, we hope to see you in Gettysburg!  We're actually about 45 mins. away from there.  My wife has already booked a room...she is obsessed with David Hess. When she found out he was going to be there, she booked the room, didn't even run it by me...shit, if the tables were turned she would've pitched a fit on my ass hahaha!

JBirdman - WHERE in Chicago?  I emailed that Chicago horror fest and they never bothered to reply.  As a rule, I don't pay submission fees to people who can't even be bothered to communicate.  I know I'm no Tobe Hooper, but surely I deserve at least an email!  I also contacted Horror Society, and they sounded interested but very vague; it's a wait and see situation.  I think I like those people, though.

Lasrry - that would be great to hang at HF... if they accept me!  Another responsive horror fest, my emails just evaporate itno the ether, you know? 

Sometimes I think "festival directors" jsut want to collect fees and don't care about the films or filmmakers...

Horror Society was the people I was refering to. They screen the films at the beautiful Portage Theater.

I am recommending this group highly because their group is similar to the guys on here, only with less jizz and drug jokes. I'm pretty sure that they don't charge a submission fee either. It would be a great opportunity to show Slime City to some people who might not know about it and hell you can sell the shit out of DVDs. Sign some autographs, it'd be sweet.

I've only been to one event, but it was sweet. Kevin Tenney, who looks like a bum in real life, screened "Night of the Demons" and his newer film "Braindead". He also had a funny Q&A. If you wanted to, I'm sure that you'd be able to screen both Slime City and Slime City Massacre if you wanted to (Especially if you had access to a film print of the original).

I do have a film print of the original, but not the new one! We shot in HD.  In any case, he keeps telling me, "Yeah, I'm interested, keep your eyes open for what we're up to..."  It's really up to him to tell me what he has in mind and when., but it sounds cool.

Oh and you don't necessarily need a film print to screen it. The can play DVDs too. I was just suggesting this because film is awesome.

Yeah, we did one screening of the print in Seattle last year that went very well.  It's a 16m print, though.  I guess if you attend another one of his things, demad your SCM.

Greg, if Horrorfind doesn't even have the decency to respond to your email, I will speak with the guys who run the show.  That is ridiculous!  One of the guys running Horrorfind is Joe Ripple of Timewarp Films, he was lucky enough to work with Don Dohler when he was alive, so he "should" understand what its all about.  Unfortunately, it IS only about making money with him...he has no real interest in the horror genre.  This is what he told me at a New Year's Eve party years ago, that didn't impress me...at all.
