James - other than WIL and a pair of guys who used to write for me for Fear Zone, we won't be sending out screeners until festival season at the soonest. Feel free to remind me when the film has some dates lined up.
Ok. Wil told me that I wouldn't get one so It's all good

If i was sent a screener I could share it on TIK and CG, which are both obscure and cult movie trackers. That's where the real fans are. I can strip the extras so people will still want to purchase it, and with directors concent, movies are made Freeleach. meaning you'll probably get a few hundred downloads. If i made a movie thats what I would do. an easy way to get a few hundred views, and sure enough, there will be reviews from the nerds.

There is no way that could be good for an independent director.

Agreed. That's a horse-shit idea Christian . That helps for exposure but will bring minimal bank. And when your films become well known, and the dvd is released, what's to stop some asshole from ripping and uploading that shit to pirate bay or some other share site. Bottom line: shit's rough.

Guys, I'm a promotional whore. I WANT you to review the movie. I'll spread my legs, or yours, to make that happen. But not now. The last thing a fiulmmaker wants is for copies of his unreleased film circulating among horror fans before it's released. Wil can tell you how that destroyed PULTRYGEIST's sales. I want people to see this with an audience, as hard as that may seem, because I think it's really fun and that will enhance the experience. I'd also like to make my money back and maybe see a profit.

Yeah guys, fuck off. This is a very special film and only the most highly respected critics in the industry will be allowed to view it in advance.

I'd also like to make my money back and maybe see a profit. Yea I where you are coming from and don't worry I'll even wait until it's on or almost on dvd to ask again. To be honest, it's better to probably wait but you better promote the shit out of it. For awhile now, I've had Die-ner and Evil Things sitting in my room. Neither film is on DVD yet, both have been talked about, and yet both were forgotten it seems by horror fans. I have Banshee too. I've had the official DVD for over 2 months now and it was released to the masses today. It really hasnt been in the spotlight, except for being shown on Chiller, and honestly I don't think it will sell well. It too will be forgotten. I write reviews for indy films noone has ever heard from but those people are just happy to have their movies found by atleast one person. You have an advantage over Troma for the fact that having a smaller audience won't have your flick uploaded as likely. Your fan base is also much more loyal than Troma's. There have been a handful of bad Troma flicks, but I have yet to hear one single bad intellegent review of Slime City. Just do what you do Greg. It works.

And a kick ass review it is, Brain Hamner! Not juist because you liked it - but I wouldn't post about it otherwise - but because it's really well written and you didn't give up the whole plot.

I'm glad to hear you liked the review, Greg. It was a hard one for me, because the story is pretty fucked up and I didn't want to spoil the gags.
I thought it was an awesome movie, and I'm sure everyone here is going to love it.
