For the most part, so do I, largely because most of us are shitty readers. I can think of 4 exceptions, 4 people who are so good at reading that I would go out of my way to see them read:
Jack Ketchum
Brian Keene
Edo on Belkom
Jeff Strand
Of the 4 of them, only Jeff Strand is a friend of mine, and his reading style perfectly suits his "I am a dork" style of humble/bumbling characters.
Now if we can get back on subject, I'm close to announcing a DVD deal for SLIME CITY MASSACRE, and none of the authors mentioned anywhere in this thread have ever made a fucking movie, and if I have a crowd in a room I don't even HAVE to read because I can push PLAY on the DVD playuer.

Yeah, we didn't know if we'd be screening Isle of the Damned at last year's Horrorfind until about a week or two before the F'n convention. They better be screening Slime City Massacre, or I will definitely be having words with the folks at HF...even if I have to get all Wil on their asses and get thrown out of the convention! |

Debbie Rochon won Best Actress at the Eerie Horror Film Festival over the weekend. She deserved it, and I'm glad I was there.
THe film was projected ona HUGE screen, the biggest it will ever be on.
