Despite computer problems, this weekend I amnaged to finish 4 sample chapters for CHEAP SCARES! HOW TO MAKE A NO BUDGET HORROR FLICK. I submitted a killer proposal for this book to a publisher back in December,a nd a month later they expressed interest and requested sample chaps when they became available. The samples a re a chap on screenwriting, and interview with Larry Fessenden, an interview w with Robert Sabin, and a profile of a guy who did everything wrong when he made his short film and got his wife fired from her teaching job....
The finsihed book will have a lot more interviews and a slew of anecdotes fromme. Keep your fingers crossed for me, I might actually make a few bucks off this.

The first 3 interviews I did for the book were with friends of mine: Larry Fessenden, Robert Sabin,and Roy Frumkes. Tonight, I broke new ground: J.R. Bookwalter. Allf four of these were lengthy interviews. Next week, I plan to interview Scooter McCRae; Ijsut watched SHATTER DEAD and it really blew me away.

I'm very pleased to announce that I've signed contracts with McFarland & Company, Inc. regarding publication of my book CHEAP SCARES! HOW TO MAKE A LOW BUDGET HORROR FILM. This big, big book alternates instructional chapters by me with in-depth interviews with the likes of Roy Frumkes, Larry Fessenden, Scooter McCrae, J.R. Bookwalter, and several others. I have until mid-November to complete the manuscript and photos work. No idea when publication will be.

I finisihed my book CHEAP SCARES! HOW TO MAKE A LOW BUDGET HORROR FILM and submitted it to the publisher, McFarland & Company. An advance reader called it the ebst book on low budget filmmaking he's ever read. HAlf the book is my advice and philosophies based on my own experiences,a nd the other half is comprised with in depth interviews with:
J.R. Bookwalter
Justin Wingenfeld (SKIN CRAWL)
Robert Sabin (My SLIME CITY star, who has a lot of screenwriting experience)
Devi Snively (who has won over 100 film festival awards for her short horror films, and who just finisihed her first micro-budget feature, and who just completed the AFI DIrector's Workshop for Women)
Jerry Gold (and entertainment attorney with a lot of advice for low budget filmmakers)
Roy Frumkes
Larry Fessenden
James Lorinz
Scooter McCrae
Brett Piper
Stephen Biro, President of Unearthed Films
Paige Davis, VP of Marketing for POP Cinema
Justin Channell (DIE AND LET LIVE)
I've also got a ton of stills, many of them very rare, including ones for Frumkes's never finished SHRIEK OUT and TALES THAT WILL TEAR YOUR HEART OUT.
No publication date yet, but I expect this one to be fast tracked.

I like Paige she insulted the way I dressed...it was very funny especially since I am the one who always does the insulting. Also including an entertainment lawyer was very smart...You should of included a list of people to avoid like Matthew Harrison aka Matthew Pletcher.
