Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Is this guy claiming that was original?! I have a book, not old, but older than Cigarette Burns, called 'Fear Itself' by Jonathan Nasaw which sounds suspiciously similiar to CB. It's about a mentally unstable man with his own phobias, preying on phobiacs by kidnapping them and forcing them to confront their fears, such as a man terrified of birds.

Boogeywoman, that's the plot to "Dread" by Clive Barker, "Cigarette Burns" is different. It's about a guy searching for a lost movie that has the power to drive people insane.

Huge fan of the Books Of Blood. I managed to get my local bookstore to order me the limited edition that collected all the first three in one book. I have to agree, though, that "Dread" is one of the best stories contained herein. I would love to see a movie about it, but if McWeiner is writing it, I'll just wait on it. Nothing against "Cigarette Burns", but I just don't like Drew.
He never replied to my e-mail I sent him.

I am not a favorite of that story and not because it involved gay-sexuals but because my imagination could not stretch that far. Actually I read that when I was pretty young maybe it went over my head. I should revisit it perhaps?
