Where The Dead Fear To Tread

A Great Mix of old school pulp and horror.  Anyone looking for a fast paced gory mystery could do much worse.  Glad Horror Year Book gave the shout out or I never would have found it.

Thirst (Ava Delaney #1) by Claire Farrell
Book was free & included the first 2 chapters of the second book, which is called Taunt ($2.99)

I did have a nice description typed out, but my phone really doesn't like this forum at all. So I will be brief: old school vampires, dark magick, bloody supernatural war, strong female character (w/ out turning into another paranormal romance) & dry British humor.

I'm starting to get pissed about Kindle books! How is a best seller $8? I can get a best seller at the book store for $8 or less! At least with a regular book I can sell it, give it away or donate it to the library or free book dump at the train station. The idea of a digital download to me is the convenience, less space and it should be cheaper.

I agree! And I would vastly prefer to have the hardcopy of a book for that price. I think that's why I get a lot of the free books (or even the ones in the $.99-$2.99 range). Sometimes they are really good & other times complete shit. If they are good, it's a nice surprise and when they are garbage, well, then at least you didn't lose anything but some valuable time! LOL

I was just drunk and mad that Moneyball cost $8. Now my fucking Kindle cord broke, and I have to wait for Amazon to send a new one. I'm buying a Kindle Fire in November.

THE HOWLING By  Gary Brandner

“If you haven’t read Gary Brandner, you’re missing a treat.”
~ STEPHEN KING

Karyn and her husband Roy had come to the peaceful California village of Drago to escape the savagery of the city. On the surface Drago appeared to be like most small rural towns.
But it was not.  The village had a most unsavory history. Unexplained disappearances, sudden deaths. People just vanished, never to be found.

Dude ebook readers are kinda cool.. but I don't want to support their book marketplace.
Maybe if it was just a plain pdf ebook reader with the kindle sorta screen that'd be kewl. I need to start reading more  Undecided

You can read PDFs on the Kindle. They just don't fit that well.
