1  More Than Just Movies! / Music / MUERTE VILLA and CATHOLICON reviews coming soon...and interviews... on: April 29, 2007, 09:56:04 PM
NEGATIVITY RECORDS presents these two bands...I shall take a listen to the underground hate noise they vomit out and report back via a review. MANIAC NEIL (FRIGHTMARE/BLOODFREAK etc.) and SKITZO interviews are also coming.

Wil, its a beautiful thing to see how far this site has come.
2  The Fun Stuff! / Other Crap / the u.s. is a bunch of pussy hall-monitors scared of words on: April 11, 2007, 10:31:53 PM
The great and noble Rev Al Sharpton should be ashamed of himself. Go check out the lives and careers of Don Imus and Al Sharpton and judge for yourself who has done more good for the people of this country. The Rev has been involved in esome rather shady affairs over the years and the way he constantly throws fuel on the fire of racially charged incidents doesn't fucking help nobody. And I'm by no fucking means saying he shouldn't do it, (protest, voice his opinions) but c'mon man, its gotta go both ways. Take a look across the board at black entertainers/comedians/actors/rappers...why are they not railed against by these same organizations for the beration of thier own race...a seventy year old talk radio host drops a rather senile harmless phrase and all hell breaks loose...its fucking mind-boggling to me. Whether or not you agree, or was offended or not with what Imus said is not the issue at hand here. When these crazy religion based groups can go after people for saying words, fuckin WORDS, that 'offended' them and get things done (suspensions/firings) thats fucking scary to me. Free Speech is supposed to be protected for this very reason...if everyone agreed on everything 100% of the time there would be no need for it right? If we don't stand up in support of Don Imus' rights to utter a stupid joke/phrase that was said in comedic form NOT HATE its only gonna get worse. Most of this comes down to money and a self-serving agenda. I believe at the core of it all is organized religion...its killing freedom in this country...this goddamned U.S.A. is full of awshucks spineless squawking hens worrying about dirty words and a flopped out fun-bag at the superbowl. WHERE WILL IT STOP? it fucking won't as far as I can tell. We have kids just out of high school on a big democracy mission in iraq, not to mention clearing the way for the snagging rich oil-fields/rebuilding contracts for the 'higherups' in the government READ:THE TOP can line their pockets. The 'war on terror' is a cash-grab operation by multinational corporations that were secretly awarded 'no bid' contracts in iraq before the first shots were even fired. Our vice president still receives hundreds of thousands of dollars every year from one of those corporations (Halliburton). All of this while more and more of our freedoms are being eroded here in our homeland. My family spent more money on fuel last year than on food...thats fucked up. Alright, fuck it. rant over. In the words of Ozzy "I love you all". good night and good luck. GOD BLESS.

Shane.

7  More Than Just Movies! / Music / Freddy Krueger's Underwear (F.K.U.) joins up with Razorback Records... on: February 25, 2007, 09:29:42 PM
from Razorback Records...

"Sick of generic poser thrash? Then WELCOME TO PRIME TIME, BITCH!

F.K.U. (Freddy Krueger's Underwear), Sweden's Horror Thrash Metal Maniacs, will re-release their 1999 debut album, "Metal Moshing Mad" later this year on Razorback Records!

A true underground cult classic in every sense of the word, this album pre-dates many of the current "retro" thrash bands and also helped to influence a few of the bands Razorback Records has worked with in the past as well.

Featuring a huge and crushing production job, catchy neck-breaking riffs, tons of sing-a-long lyrics, and a great love for all of the classic horror icons (Freddy, Leatherface, Jason, Frank Zito, Pinhead, Michael Myers)..."Metal Moshing Mad" is an album that is worth playing over and over again until your brain explodes from the ultra-thrashing high it gives you! WHAT A RUSH!

The re-release will feature new and incredible hand drawn and painted artwork by underground horror master, Adam Geyer (http://www.adamgeyer.com/) and will also feature the band's 20 song demo from 1998, "Beware of the Evil Underwear", re-mastered for pure head-banging fury!

This album kicks so much ass that if you don't wake up thrashing...you won't wake up at all!"

go to razorbackrecords.com for the latest info.

8  The Fun Stuff! / Other Crap / Re: what should I buy with my Best Buy gift card? on: February 14, 2007, 11:25:51 PM
thanks for the info and advice everyone...i already have the sleepaway camp tin (which is killer)....

I was dissapointed with the selection at the Best Buy I was at Sat. I had my 6 year old son with me so I didn't get to look as thoruougly through the aisles as I would have liked but he was having a great time, so that was cool.

I picked up the new version of TCM (I have the Pioneer version I paid alot of cash for at Suncoast years ago) but this latest version was a must have for me, havent checked it out yet...I also snagged the Apocalypse Now "the complete dossier" 2 disc edition. I also got Mastodon's  'blood mountain'. those 3 items were 52 bucks.
9  More Than Just Movies! / Music / Re: Bad News For Us Frightmare and Blood Freak fans... on: February 14, 2007, 10:45:30 PM
something about this info is fucked. go to myspace.com/frightmare......it seems to me that the original frightmare page was hacked or something. this whole situation is a real fucking downer for me...you find a couple discs that speak to you all that is great about movies/music/art all in one package and then all this fucking drama.....FUCK!
10  The Fun Stuff! / Other Crap / what should I buy with my Best Buy gift card? on: February 08, 2007, 11:31:21 PM
I got a bestbuy gift card for christmas and I'm finally getting around to spending it this weekend (I live in an extremely rural area...we're heading into the scary city sat.) my problem is when I walk into a store like that my weird ass brain shuts off and I forget what I might like to check out and possibly purchase. So what should I get? its 50 bucks btw. I'm thinking of snagging the Friday the 13th boxset....

13  More Than Just Movies! / Music / Re: Ozzfest 2007 Will be "Freefest" on: February 08, 2007, 10:44:50 PM
that info on SOAD gives me a whole new perspective on that band....those guys are real cunts for wanting that much cash for a set. amazing.
14  More Than Just Movies! / Music / Re: Mortician on: February 06, 2007, 11:26:30 PM
That's awesome dude!!
I'm happy that you view Mortician
the same as I do! I can see the sheer
brilliance in this band but most
people just bash them without giving
them a proper try. Sure not everyone
likes the drum machine but just look
past it. Not hard to do. I think there's
more talent in that band that meets the eye.

Anyway, since you dig Mortician alot maybe
you'd be interested in checking out my band Embalmed?
I'll admit and say it, I'm pretty much a Canadian
version of Mortician haha. I'm not trying to make
anything new and life changing. Just simple, to the point
crushing tunes. If you wanna check it out, the myspace link is..

www.myspace.com/embalmed666
I have a cover of Mortician's Zombie Apocalypse on there
as well. If you get a chance, let me know what you think!
I'm definately interested in the opinion of another Mortician fan!

just checked it out, its great man, I love the riffs, esp on 'xenomorphic widescreen...' (are you gonna add vox to this track?)...it sounds good, judging from these four tracks you could make one hell of a full length record...I just submitted a friend request from my page...
15  More Than Just Movies! / Music / Re: Ozzfest 2007 Will be "Freefest" on: February 06, 2007, 10:30:23 PM
pretty cool idea...it guarantee's a 'sellout'. 20,000+ people will spend more on merch by not having to shell out the $ for tix. should be an interesting summer...I just wish they would contain more extreme bands on the bill, most that have played the fest in the past I wouldn't walk out in my front yard to watch em. Ozzy fucking rules though.

I'm just a negative fuck ain't I Grin
