Back in the mid-eighties,the world was going crazy over the undeniable and unstopable influience of e couple of aussie action flicks. this trend spread everywhere,engulfing everything in its path, from WEIRD SCIENCE to TINA TURNER's hairdo. music videos(not any good ones) from THE POLICE and DURAN,DURAN copied the style like some bad highschool production. thank god that lesser talented directers with little cash decided to jump on the wagon and make some truly awful, yet completly entertaining futuristic gorefests.these movies were widely available but the titles were a little mis-leading.i have tried to see as many as icould but few(and i am afraid) better still elude me. i like EXTERMINATORS OF THE YEAR 3000 . which do you think is best???

Just got WARRIORS of the WASTELAND on DVD for a dollar at Walmart.. it is a decent transfer, not great . havent seen this in years and it was fun...whats the alternate title to this..?

that's a good one, have'nt thought of that one in years. me and my brother used to watch it when i was a little munchkin. another good mad max rip off is the manga Fist of the North Star. i detest anime (cept for the occasional tentecle rape video) but it's hard to ignore the road warrior influences, complete with a lord humoungus rip off. also, did anyone ever play the board game Thunder Road? it's like milton bradley's board game vision of a post apocolyptic future |
