While it would be nice, I don't think he'll get Eastwood, as he has retired from acting to focus solely on directing.
I'm still a bit pissed Nathan Fillion didn't get the Green Lantern role (yeah, he got the V.O. role for the animated series, but still...). Ryan Reynolds is one of my favorite actors out there, but I'm not sure he was a good fit for Hal. Guy Gardner? Sure I could definitely see that, but not Hal. And on a side note, I really hope the Deadpool movie gets into production soon before the general public lose interest (or Marvel runs the character into the ground).

New THOR trailer. I was gonna skip this flick, but, then, I witnessed this piece of awesomeness.

Someone on the Home Theater Fourm just saw THOR. Here's what he had to say. Now, I'm seriously getting psyched to see this:
I saw the film a few hours ago, here's a quick review -
I can't think of a bad thing to say about Thor, honestly. Director Kenneth Branagh did a wonderful job bringing this god of a superhero to life on the big screen. The casting is perfect, Chris Hemsworth last seen playing Jim Kirks father in Star Trek is charismatic, making Thor a likable flawed hero with or without his powers. Natalie Portman is gorgeous as the scientist who falls for our fallen hero (good that what.. falls for our fallen...fuggedit). Tom Hiddleston is good as Loki, Thor's jealous scheming brother and the great Anthony Hopkins simply superb as Odin, lord of Asgard and father of Thor and Loki. Rene Russo plays Odins wife Frigga.
There's a fantastic battle near the start of the film where Thor and his Asgardian warriors fight the Frost Giants of Jotunheim that is just like watching a comic book come to life. This is what 3D was made for. I was ducking, flinching and blinking as if I was right there with them. The spectacular visual effects of the film are state of the art but it's the characters that bring this story to life.
Marvel superhero Hawkeye played by Jeremy Renner appears in one sequence, we'll see more of that character in next years Avengers. Samuel L. Jackson appears in a short clip after the credits.
I really enjoyed Thor, don't miss it. Highly recommended. 5 out of 5.

I'm posting this here too. Fuck that guy from Home Theater Forum because I can think of a thousand negative things to say about Thor. Here are a few:
He-Man: Masters of the Universe with Dolph Lundgren was better, because at least He-Man was He-Man, and not Prince Adam for 90% of the movie. Why make a movie called Thor, if Thor isn't even in the fucking movie?
They made Odin a pussy, Loki a pussy, and wasted Hawkeye's cameo. The only good part of the movie was Kat Dennings. The battle with the Destroyer was like an ending of a Power Ranger episode, and I missed most of his fight with Loki because I went to take a shit during it (I'm not kidding, I had to be ready for Fast Five afterwards).
I hope the next Spider-Man movie is just Peter Parker taking pictures of the city for 90 mins, because I want to piss away another $12!

Maybe we will get lucky and they will make a Planet of the Apes with no apes. I'll pay $20 to see that!

I never saw it. When I got down to the movie theater I learned there was no 2D showing, and I didn't have enough for the 3D one. So . . .

Yeah they pulled that fuckery on me too, charge you 3D prices for a 2D movie.

It wasn't that, they were showing THOR ONLY in 3D, and they normally don't do that. Normally, they give people the 2D option. I even sent an email out to them when I got home asking why no 2D showing. Never got a reply. My guess is they're not making enough money, so they figure they'll nix ALL 2D showings, and make people pay the obscene pice of 9 bucks if they want to see this movie. I even asked if PRIEST was gonna get the same treatment. Without their reply, I suspect so.

Yes, it was.
Oh Okay then I'm not annoyed then. I thought it was a 2D movie that they added the 3D too, or whatever they do.
