Now, this one I didn't like because it wasn't close enough to the book. The book is the best. There is suicide and abortion and no lessons are learned.

I never read the book ... NOW I know I need to.
The main reason I love this movie is for two things ...
The hanging that failed and the OD on nyquil afterwards leaving him laying in his own piss! Buwahaha
AND
RICHARD! "It's not Richard, it's DICK!!!!" The scene in the hotel room where they dance to faith puts a smile on my face every time. Then the scene at the table with the four of them was priceless!
When Dick is asked about school...
"It sucks COOOOOCKK!"

The book is sooo depressing. The opening scene is a girl getting her virginity taken and she says, "I always knew it would be like this" The rest of the book goes downhill from there with people treating each other like shit

This is a good movie, the person who lent me this film had very bad taste so I kind of put off watching it. When I did, I wasn't dissapointed, its one of the films that made a impact on me. I really should find the book, i didn't even know there was one.

Damn the book is hardcore. Waaay better than the movie, Tons of sex, drugs, abortions, suicide, etc. in every chapter

I say bette than Less than Zero, but not as good as American Psycho. The first chapter should have you hooked. It is a chick losing her viriginty to two guys while drunk and she doesn't know who they are and someone vomits.
