Have you ever been in an atypical moood and watched a movie out of your norm? Well, tonight I was actually feeling ''sweet'' and I decided to check out 'The Lake House' after seeing its listing on the movie guide.
I have never been a Keanu Reeves fan but I thought his performance as Alex in 'The Lake House' was one of his more likeable roles that I have seen. I am also not a fan of Sandra Bullock so I was surprised that both actors were able to do a fine enough job to keep me interested.
It didn't take me long to figure out what was going on but I can honestly admit even after 'thinking' I had figured it out I still questioned my judgement. I turned out to be right on my initial instinct but it was still a very sweet movie, IMO.
The ending was a little bit of a let down. Only because with the way it did end, I would have liked something a bit more powerful. I won't explain because I don't want to spoil it for anyone that 'may' see this.
It probably helped a lot that both main characters worked in particular fields of interest to me.
Anyway if you any of you get in a sappy mood -- maybe check this out sometime. It was just a sweet story that hopefully drives the point to it's audience, of never giving up hope on anything that you truly long for. Especially love. Awwwww.

Then I scanned the movie channels and turned it to The Good Son and came to make this thread. Now I think I will go try to lay down to sleep. I have to work again tomorrow night. |
