I don't know about any of you but I have this thing for Stallone movies - most are bad, yes, but they are entertaining none the least and I think I can speak for everyone when I say that Cobra is pretty bad ass. Here is Stallone's new flick called The Expendables and the cast is pretty fucking ridiculous in itself. Cast List: Sylvester Stallone Jason Statham Mickey Rourke Jet Li Dolph Lunredge Eric Roberts Arnold Schwarzenegger (I think this is confirmed too) Danny Trejo (rumored) Terry Crews Stone Cold Steve Austin Randy Couture (!!!) Sounds pretty insane, right?  |

I have to go back and see this. I was so drunk and couldn't stand watching Stallone's witty banter with Jason Statham that I walked out and threw my whiskey bottle at the screen. Anyone see it yet? Does it get good?

Lionsgate Home Entertainment has announced DVD ($29.95) and Blu-ray/DVD Combo ($39.99) releases of The Expendables for November 23rd. Extras on the DVD release will include an audio commentary with Sylvester Stallone, a "Before the Battle" Making-of Featurette, a deleted scene, and a gag reel. The Blu-ray release will include all that, along with an Inferno: The Making of The Expendables Documentary, 2 additional featurettes ("From the Ashes: Postproduction and Release", "Comic-Con 2010 Panel"), a digital copy of the film, and more.

I just tried watching this a 2nd time and I was right the first time. It's hard to get through the first 30 - 40 minutes. I'm so disappointed with Stallone. How did he manage to make that kick-ass Rambo and then mess this up. I'm going to try and finish it later.  |

It starts out so strong and then it's 40 minutes of Mickey Rourke babbling and Jason Statham bitching about Cordelia. Half the cast isn't even in the movie 90% of the time, and the meeting between Stallon, Arnold and Willis was as lame as fart on ritz crackers. It also seems like everyone phoned in their performance. Jet Li vs. Lundgren was fun, and that's as far as I got. Stallone should've left out all the awful witty banter, and went with cool match-ups instead. Statham should've killed Chris Rock's father (BTW why is he even in this movie?) in the first 10 minutes. Rourke should've fought The Rock. Stallone vs. an alligator. Homo vs. Sex. IDK anything would've been better. What a waisted opportunity. |

Hell, I guess I'm the only one who liked it. lol It did have it's bad spots, but overall it was pretty cool.
