HOLY CRAP ...... I remember that as a cartoon back in the early 80's . Cant remember the name of the cartoon but the ship was called the ARGOTT i think. THIS WILL ROCK !!!!

STAR BLAZERS is what you're thinking of, and the ship was called the, ARGO. Spelled, like that, I think. used to watch it religiously when I was a kid. Need this flick on a region 1 DVD ASAP!

It's like the gradual steps of an addiction. FIrst, you start out with some G-Force here, some Robotech there, and then when your body gets acclimated to it, you start hittin' the big anime, like Fist Of The North Star, Akira, Guyver, Ninja Scroll.
In the final stages, before you know it, you're shooting Ghost In The Shell movies, 1 and 2, and mainlining Hayao Miyazaki flicks. That's hardcore, man.

I can't tell, is that from the series or the movie? I used to have the movie but turned it in for credit many, many years ago when I needed money. I now regret doing that. You know, they're currently in the process of releasing the '84 series on DVD. The first Volume came out this summer and the next Volume is set to come out in November, I think. And, I think, it's supposed to be a total of four Volumes by the time they ALL get released.

I just picked up three GATCHAMAN VHS. I havent watched these yet but from the description on the back it sounds like an american 90's version of Starblazers. I thought it was the original 70's version but they say contains mild violence and partial nudity on the back. post some picks tomorrow mornin'.  I am a Dumass !!! Gatchaman is the jap name for G-force, duh...... |

I was just gonna post that about Gatchaman (aka G-Force). I think that three part GATCHAMAN you got is a 90s remake, or mini-series, or something. I've seen trailers of it and the animation is outstanding.
