Anyone remember these flicks?
I haven't seen them in years myself
but I picked up an old VHS copy of the
2nd one just the other day and can't
wait to pop it in! Johnny5 was awesome!
They just don't make em like they used to.

I don't think they're on DVD, well I never saw them on DVD. When Johnny 5 is dying and they have to jump start him may be one of the saddest moments in movie history. Hey Madman maybe you will get lucky and they'll remake these.

No I was just kidding. I'm sick of remakes also, like I said I just gave up. I was also serious about trying to get fans to ban together and complain about them and them making fun of me.

I gotta apologize dude.
It's just every time I hear about
a new one, it drives me nuts.
I know there's nothing that can be done
about it and instead of complaining,
I should continue to pretend they don't exist
but that's hard when I try and talk to someone (where I live)
about a particular movie and they only know the remake.
I get very defensive about the oldies but I shouldn't
lash at people that don't deserve it so for that I'm sorry.
I don't want to be burning bridges.

Really is sad that people just make fun of you for wanting to do
something like that. Makes me wonder if it would really make a
difference if there was enough people against the idea or if all
emails/comments on boards would go unrecognized or deleted.

No need to apologize I never take offense. I go back and forth on remakes. I mean some great films have been remakes, but some just never should be remade like Last House on the Left & Canibal Holocaust. It's not just the movie that makes them classic, it's the story behind them, when they were made, the 1st time you saw it, and how you saw it who made it and so on. All we can really hope for is, if they're going to be remade that somebody does a good job or in the case of Black Christmas just turns out some crap that was at least entertaining on a fatuous level. I know a lot of people were against Black Christmas but the sad fact is they were just cashing in on the name, but it was a relief that instead of trying to remake a classic they just milked the name and made some bad slasher film. It worked on different levels then the original, it's just another movie with the same name really. I rather that then whats his face shot by shot recreation of Psycho, I mean that has no friggen point at all.

I just finished watching the 2nd not too long ago.
Damn great to see that again! I thought Ben was
pretty hilarious too. I liked his line...
