I love this movie, it's on Spike TV as I type this. I love when the one kid tells his dad in the beginning tell Mom I love her that dad just says "yeah" real bland like.

Oh yeah different time zones I didn't think about that. Well it has the guy who played Mr. Boogaloo in my all time favorite movie The Apple. He is the head of the bad army. Those people from The Apple never returned my interview questions. Hey it's like 50 degrees here also. I was just outside on the balcony in my wife beater and panties smoking...

Road House 2? Did you like that one? I did not care for it, but then again, nothing could live up to the first one.

I was quite surprised when i watched "Red Dawn" recently. A better and less cheesy film than memory made me think.
Lots of well done, big budget action for sure, but it's also far less silly and gung ho, and far bleaker and serious, than often given credit for. Nice support cast of adults to back up the up and coming 'Brat Pack' youngsters as well (Ben Johnson, Powers Boothe, Harry Dean Stanton and William Smith speaking fluent Russian!). It holds up.

Yeah I had the same reaction when I saw this years later. i loved it as a kid and remembered as a better movie, but years later I could not believe how bad (in a good way) it actually was. Kind of like Good Will Hunting.
