Ghost Busters 3

I'm sure this is sort of like Evil Dead 4 and everyone is just getting moist vaginas for no reason, but there's a lot of talk of doing a third movie with all the old dudes from the first two movies.  I personally only really cared for the first movie, and just thought the second one was okay.  Have you guys heard anything more on this, or this just wishful thinking for the fanboys out there?

Dan Akroyd REALLY has a hard on for this movie. He has been trying to get Ghostbusters 3 made FOREVER. Christ, this goes back to when Chris Farley was still alive and was supposed to be a "new" Ghostbuster. Fact is, Bill Murray has always and likely will always say no. Since he owns 33 percent of the name or whatever, it isn't going to happen. If and when he does do it, we know Bill's drug habit has gotten out of control. We just saw the video game where they all returned to do voice over work, that's the closest we might ever get.

I think we can all agree the first was a classic, the 2nd was shit, but had it's moments. A third film would make money, but much like High School Musical 3, do we REALLY need to see it.

Although if Vanessa Hudgens starred in Ghostbusters 3 and was involved in a circle jerk, shit eating scene, I might consider forking over a few dollars to see that.

Of course after I posted my response, I then go over and read what was reported in Variety.

You talk about news completely out of left field if they are signed to return. I guess I just won't believe it until they actually start shooting. There is no need for this at all.
