Hahaha, I wouldn't go that far. I think part 8 REALLY sucks, Jason X is more entertaining...and gory. The first 3 will always be my favs though. |

Hahaha, I wouldn't go that far. I think part 8 REALLY sucks, Jason X is more entertaining...and gory. The first 3 will always be my favs though. Larry, you can't discount Part 4, that one is amazing! |

I don't really think that the films themselves are overrated, it's icon status associated with Jason that most horror fiends love! We always hate it when "normal" society latch onto something that we hold dear to our black hearts. Upon seeing little children being enamored with Jason, and wanting to dress like him, instead of fearing him, I think that struck fear in our hearts and distaste in our mouths. |

Do you like the 7th one? I would love it if had at least some gore left in it. I should have added part 7 to my list. I know it's dumb, but it was one of the first Friday movies I saw as a kid. There was something about the cast of kids hanging out at the cabin that I liked. It's nowhere near as good as the earlier movies, but it's a lot of fun. Plus it features one of my favorite death scenes in any movie: sleeping bag girl smashed against the tree. |
