I remember watching Ninja III: The Domination but I did not remember how great it was. Do yourself a favor and check out Brain Hammer's The Ninja Trilogy and watch the 5 minute clip at the end. That Ninja fucks everyone up, it is great! |

Ah, ninjas. I saw ENTER THE NINJA, REVENGE OF THE NINJA and NINJA III (heretofore known as THE HOLY NINJA TRILOGY) theatrically. REVENGE is probably the best of the three, but man, NINJA III's an anomaly unto itself. It's quite literally a marriage of a martial arts film with THE EXORCIST. The opening, in which that wily gray ninja commits wholesale slaughter on a country club golf course is one of the highlights of cheesy 80s action films, plus there's hot ninja sex(with juice!), possessed pinball machines and chicks with legwarmers. By the way, my ultimate Hollywood fantasy is to write a 150 million dollar remake of AMERICAN NINJA with Russell Crowe in the lead. Box office GOLD, baby!  |

I saw all 3 NINJA films they were meant to be seen: in a sleazy Times Square theatre with rats (all right, a cat that hunted rats, but it was the same shit in the dark) on the floor and angel dust in the air. I loved 'em.
I also saw SURF NAZIS MUST DIE the same way it should be seen: not at all.

Surf Nazis Must Die is a delightful film. Zombri, if ya haven't seen it, please get on it.  Ah, the golden days of Troma! Although it's not quite on the level of TOXIC AVENGER, SURF NAZIS is still a damn fine entry in their catalogue. |
