okay for some damn reason there is this flick that i had seen at a friends house many times when i was young. I was probably bwtween 7 or 9. so it was definetly the 80's. okay here's the premise. an orphan young boy ends up unleashing a giant floating head of an old guy with a long ass beard and he informs him that his father is has been searching for you but the boys father is on another planet and is in need of his sons skills to defeat like a warlock or wizard or some shit that is threatening the kingdom. so the young boy grabs ahold of the floating old guys head's beard and flies off into outer space and - i specifically remember the space shit because they were going past planets and blackhoes and then coming to the planet where he meets his Dad and a bunch of villagers - i almost could say it was like Harry Potter or something. You know everybody knows who Harry is - whatever. so he goes on the quest with tree eating people thwarting his quest to get to the dark kingdom. and when he gets there he meets the warlock or whatever and i am very suspicious that it was David Carradine in drag which ia a way out ther guess, but i think it was because i remember seeing other Carradine films later on and i was like dude that was the wizard or warlock guy in that film. anyway so he kiils the wizard who then shatters on the ground and then the young boy takes whats left which is a glass heart or something  and leaves and thats all i remember.

does anybody remember this? i've been searching for so damn long for it. I thought it was Wizards of the Lost Kingdom 1 or 2 , but i am pretty sure it was different.

I don't know if I want to admit to knowing this...but that is The Land of Faraway.
