Like what movies..?  I did like Bad boys 2 chase, that was the summer of chases with BB2, Terminater 3 and Matrix reloaded. All were great and raised the bar in intensity and destruction.    Im still waiting on this Luc Besson thing. Lefemme Nikita= no chase, The Professional= no chase, The Fifth Element= OK flying car chase, This is pretty sweet . District B13= totally sweet movie,no chase.

We should probably start a new topic for the next Mad Max film. From Horror-Movies.ca:

"The new Mad Max movie has been pretty tight lipped but from the trades this weekend comes word that it has found its cast and its a great cast at that. The new Mad Max will be played by Tom Hardy who starred in RockNRolla, Bronson and Oliver Twist. It is no surprise that Mel Gibson is not back but it would have been cool to have him return as a much older Max to continue the storyline.

The other interesting news is that hottie Charlize Theron has also been cast to star. She will play an unknown role but considering her immense talent she will most likely play a multi dimensional character... as well as eye candy for us lads.

No word on plot yet but shooting is planned to start in Australia soon! I am a huge Mad Max fan and just the thought of a new Mad Max movie makes me wet my pants with excitement! Here is hoping they dont f*ck it up like they did with Terminator Salvation."

Love a bit o' Hardy!  If you have not seen the excellent "Bronson" yet...get to it!
VERY interesting casting.
And a NEW "Mad Max" movie is okay...we just don't need a remake.

Will Hardy be putting on an accent  or has this been moved to America despite Australian shoting?  Australians may not be happy about that!
The 'Mad Max' films are some of their most successful and famous movies.
As is the AUSTRALIAN character.

No need for Theron.
Why have we got an actress (in very macho films where 'Max' was very much a loner)  of a much higher profile than the actor playing 'Max'?

Its being filmed in Australia, I hope Mel Gibson is not involved. Maybe Miller can do it right by keeping it stunt focused and breath some new life into it with the young actors. THIS COULD BE HUGE !!!!

Details slowly coming in from FURY ROAD, the new mad max movie. An early plot summary states the following. "The movie will be set shortly after the events of Gibson's final turn in the role, in 1985's "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome." The plotline reportedly involves a convoy of people being chased by post-apocalyptic villains, with the Max character getting involved in some way."

They should let Stalone write and direct it. He knows how to make a decent 80s movie work in the 2000s.

maybe we should let George Miller direct it.....since Happy Feet was sooo good.. Cheesy

You know when I first heard about them recasting Mel I was like...whatever...I really don't care.

But after seeing him in Edge of Darkness...holy SHIT I'd love to see him back in a Mad Max movie. The fucker looks even crazier and cooler now that he's older, all those lines on his face just make him look even more like a badass. I hope they at least show him as an old man then maybe flashback to his younger days or SOMETHING...

but I doubt it.
