Actually I read the first graphic novel and they introduced Hit-Girl at the end but I never read the issues with her in them. I didn't know she was so awesome. The 1st story-arch was pretty good.

Hell yeah! The movie looks nothing short of fucking fantastic. I've got four issues of the comic and love the series (even though it seems to take forever for another issue to come out). I don't have a decent enough internet connection to check out the trailer but if it's the one where Hit Girl is shot in the chest by Nick Cage then, it's indeed a great clip.

Funny thing is though, it's only one person she's gets whooped by. And her entire story arch has been leading to that confrontation. Ebert is a good reviewer but sometimes he just doesn't have a clue. |

Ebert wes talkin trash about movies like MANIAC and SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT and sayin people who enjoyed those movies were TWISTED SCUMBAGS. There is no such thing as a "good movie reviewer!" Critics basically just play the correct angles, because if they didn't, 90% of their reviews would read "Meh not great, not bad, just watch it!" I mean it is pretty easy to predict what people are going to like or not going to like. A real movie critic would only have an opinion every 2 or 3 times a year. So people like Ebert trip up once and awhile when their emotions get involved -- it exposes them as frauds because they will basically call something that pushes the envelope, something newthat they have not seen before, Night of the Living Dead or Kick-Ass, garbage, while giving the same foreign film formula that "pushes the envelope" a free pass. I bet Ebert has given many "coming of age" aka legal foreign kiddy porn rave reviews, but can't sit through a movie where an 11-year-old gets beat up! If it were up to Ebert we would all be watching cutting edge movies about hot "black" chicks getting fucked by ugly white guys and giving the "hot" black chick an Oscar!

I mean it is 2010 and if you think that your movie is shocking because a 12-year-old says "cunt" you are a fag! This is comic-boy-fandom gone too far. It's obsessive geeky comic book shit. I did enjoy Kick-Ass and hope there is a sequel but it missed Epic status by a good 1/2 mile.
