I dig the original. I'm eagerly waiting on the Tarantino remake. teaser poster was released today... I really wish Tarantino could have stuck with his original plan though to have Sly and Arnie in the same movie.

I know Tarantino has as many detractors as he does fans, BUT I'm a big time fan of his stuff. Death Proof was by no means anything special, but it was far better than the piece of shit Rob Rod turned out with Planet Terror. I know I'm still anxiously awaiting that complete/uncut Kill Bill dvd with both films properly edited together.

Nothing special? It's my dad's favorite movie! That makes it important right? That Kill Bill dvd you're talking about a dream of yours, or are they actually releaseing it. I've got Japanese dvds of both films, so I've already seen the uncut versions anyway

Alright, maybe I will get around to watching Planet Terror again, I have seen it one time in the theatre when the film came out. I did rent Death Proof when it came out on dvd and really liked the extended version.
I love Rodriguez and maybe I would like Planet Terror better if I watched it a second time, it just didn't leave a great first impression the first time I saw it.
I know the black and white "orgy of death" scene at the end of Kill Bill 1 was released in full color in Japan. I know it was black and white here in the states because the monkeys at the MPAA are a bunch of nazi assholes.

Yep, it's in color There's tons of little changes throughout the film, but nothing major.

How can you not like Planet Terror. Tarantino's nuts just kind of ooze to the ground. Fucking hilarious.

Pulp Fiction is one of my favorite movies. So far as I'm concerned, flicks dont' get any better. The final scene with Sam. Jackson in the diner is probably my favorite scene in any flick ever.
Jackie Brown, I dug it a lot. Great performances and again, Jackson owns.
Kill Bill 1 and 2. I liked them...but something was missing....It just wasn't that original I guess. I felt like I was watching a mismash of a billion other flicks...it has it's moments.
Death Proof.
I HATE Death Proof. The first half is genius...all the barroom stuff. The rain. The girls. I like the first half a lot. But the second half is terrible. I hate every moment of it. The dialouge just goes on and on and on and on and on...and the car chase. Man. I just didn't dig it at all. Zoe Bell was about the only thing that got me through it. I loved the GrindHouse experience, seeing it at the show was amazing...but the movie just doesn't do a damn thing for me.
Now as for Inglorious Bastards (or however he's spelling it) I read the script and it's nothing ike the original. A matter of fact, I was kind of amazed by it. I was pretty dissapointed. I was expecting much more of a war movie...and it's not a war movie at all. It's a really ODD flick and again, it's going to have it's moments. But it's not as good as I was expecting. Maybe it'll play out better on the screen though...

From a Tarantino news site:
Those of you following our coverage of the production process of Inglourious Basterds may have noticed that the man himself was strangely absent from most of the pictures and YouTube videos that leaked from the set in Goerlitz, where scenes for the “film within the film” were filmed. I am surprised how little attention this has drawn upon itself, but then again a few candid videoclips don’t necessarily mean anything. Could it be a 2nd unit shoot? Was Quentin somewhere in the background? None of the above, actually. The reason we didn’t see Quentin Tarantino in a “where’s Waldo” fashion somewhere in that footage or these pictures is simply, that he didn’t in fact direct it. Eli Roth did. That’s right, none other than “the Bear Jew” was the guest director for the “film within the film”, which stars Daniel Brühl as a Nazi sniper and GIs on a suicide mission. We’ll try to bring you more on this. Thanks to T.K., an extra in these scenes, for the scoop.
So supposedly, Roth is doing like he did for Grindhouse - do a short trailer-like movie within a movie. I can dig that.
