GODZILLA VS. MEGALON Coming To Region 1 DVD!

According to August Ragone’s blog, The Good, The Bad, and Godzilla, a legit Region 1 DVD of GODZILLA VS. MEGALON is finally in the works from Media Blasters. “Now, after more than three decades of questionable cropped and dupey public domain copies of Jun Fukuda's ultimate kids monster movie, GODZILLA VS. MEGALON (1973) is finally getting the deluxe, anamorphic release that it deserves.” The blog continues to say, “As for the upcoming release, according to a relative of one of the people who worked on MEGALON, a licensed DVD is being prepped, replete with special features — including an audio commentary — which are underway or being completed for an anamorphic disc for the US market. It is not known whether MEGALON will be issued on DVD and/or Blu-ray at this writing, but we have been told that the film has been licensed by Media Blasters”. Thanks to August Ragone for revealing this very special news, and we’ll pass along further information as it becomes available.

I have a bunch of these on VHS that I bought from the Avon catalog when I was a kid.

Not a fan of this one. They catered to the kid crowd. A no-no in my book when dealing with GODZILLA and GAMERA.

This was the only Godzilla movie had I actually owned on VHS.   Still have it.  Unfortunately not the greatest, but it grew on me as a kid.  Looking back it still has it's moments even if it isn't anything special.  Giant robot FTW though.

I think it's pretty bad that whenever I hear the word Godzilla or anything that makes me think of Godzilla, I immediately think of Jet Jaguar.
