Author Topic: FORTRESS (1.85:1) Airing On Showtime . . . I Think  (Read 374 times)

Ever since I got my DVD Recorder/VCR, I've been scouring the cable channels, looking for those movies I like that are are airing in HD and that you can't get on DVD in their correct aspect ratio. FRIGHT NIGHT 2 was one of them, and, I think, another is going to be Stuart Gordon's FORTRESS. Love this flick, with those intestinators, and Christopher Lambert and Jeffrey Combs.

Now, as far as I'm aware you can't get the 1.85:1 movie anywhere on DVD. I also have no concrete proof that it's going to be aired in 1.85:1, but it is going to be on Showtime Showcase Thursday 1/13 at 11 pm, and that's the ONLY HD showing it's getting. So, if I'm right, I'm going to be present and accounted for for this one. And, any fans on HYB should be, too.

I don't have Showtime but I did see Fortress in theaters because I'm cool like that. Some black lady got mad at the end because the chick lives while giving birth.

Fortress is great early Stuart Gordon and alot of fun. I saw a DVD for sale in the hood for $2.50 but I passed, pretty sure if I went there it would still be there, still have the VHS and I dont feel I have to have the DVD, Its no From Beyond or anything.
