Apocalypse and the Beauty Queen

fortunately, i ignored Netflix's rating and reviews, because this was a surprisingly good fairy tale movie. it actually kept me entertained, which is damn hard to do. it's not often directing impresses me either, but whoever directed this (i don't care enough to check) did a good job at making kills and costly scenes semi-artsy to save budget and put it where it counts: film quality. talented cast of unknowns too. Gunnar Hansen and Debbie Rochon were the only real names in it. Debbie's brief scene really had nothing to do with the film.. but her name being on the bill is the only reason i gave this a chance. so fuck it.

anyway, it's your basic post-apocalyptic tale of an aged ex-beauty queen turned evil Elizabeth Bathory-esque queen who rules the whole county.. there's romance, killin', titties.. and other shit. watch it if you wanna know more.
