I ask this question after finishing reading an article about a writer for a blog who walked out on The Mummy:  Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.  Who has ever walked out of a movie on their own accord just because it was really that horrendous of a movie?

I never walk out on a film because, for one, I paid for it and so might as well make light of my own stupidity for something I paid money for.  The only film I walked out in the middle of was Texas Chainsaw Massacre:  The Beginning because my fiance was very upset at the time with all the brutal violence.  She doesn't care for Slashers that much and she was in a "weird place" during that period in our lives.  Other than that, I have never walked out of any movie on my own accord.

I have sat through such crap as Epic Movie all the way to the end and, don't worry, I didn't even pay for it.  I've sat through the godawful Dragon Wars and that was on DVD so I could have turned it off at any time and watched the last half if I ever wanted to feel the pain of nails going through my scrotum.

So, who has walked out during a theatrical movie?  And what movie was it?  And lastly, why?

I've done it twice.

First time was near the end of Devil's Rejects, my current girlfriend couldn't take any more gore.

Second was Casino Royale. Some bitch had a seizure and I had to go save her and her stupid boyfriend's fingers(dumbass put them in her mouth). Although we did hit up management for vouchers on this one.

i did twice. Girl 6 and Sunset Park. went in not knowing what they were about.

Girl 6 got about 1/2-way through then said fuck it, ditched my girlfriend and watch Broken Arrow instead.

Sunset Park, soon as i saw Rea Pearlman's face i bailed.

I sit through way more crap than I should but I have walked out of a few movies in my time. The only one I can remember right now is American History X.

What! You walked out during American History X?!

For me:
Hot Fuzz
The Strangers
more that I can't think of

How are you going to question someone for walking out on American History X, and then tell everyone you walked out of Hot Fuzz?

Because Hot Fuzz was garbage. English people need to stop making comedies, because they're never funny.
American History X is a great film though.

Hot Fuzz was great.. and only the black & white portions of American History X were good (i really hated the fat guy from Boy Meets World in it).. supposedly tho the studio forced edits on it which were meant to spell out "he was right all along" by the end.
