The opening is horrible. Platinum Dunes really loves their lame ass shots of the villain's trademarks. The sweater was always lame anyway, if they really wanted to "re-imagine" it they should have done so without it. Who the hell would wear that sweater anyway? They should of grew some balls and told horror fans "Fuck you the sweater is ugly and we're getting rid of it."
Also why is Freddy like "Oh shit I'm burning! Let me take my jacket off that will help."
The middle is fine, but like I said with the Last House remake why do I want to watch the same friggen movie. At least they changed Friday the 13th a little, I'm sure it is going to be fun to pay $10 to see the bathtub scene again with a new actress. Whoo Hoo!
Also Freddy sounds like an old man.

Am I the only one that noticed that Freddy is yelling, "I didn't do it!" or some shit like that. So they changed his backstory to being an innocent accused of the crimes??? The reason Freddy is my favorite horror villian is because he is a sick fuck who murdered children then seeks revenge on the children of those who paid him back. Oh and he murdered his own wife in front of his daughter and so on. They had better not turn him into a limp dick killer.

Trailer looks good...but very familiar. The sweater unveiling is pretty lame, reminded me of Superman. Overall, I think it will have the same look and feel as the TCM and F13 remakes. The problem is...do you recreate the wheel, or do you replicate (bathtub) scenes shot for shot? Either way, someone complains. Keep the sweater or lose the sweater, either way people will be jerking off arguing about it for the next six months until the movie finally comes out.

this looked great. Freddy is so dark and the glove looked wonderful. the superman part was bad but that seems like it will be a small part of the film.
