NO, it's not worth the money.
If you were blown away by the other 4, I don't really know what to say. I think it's safe to say it'll be just like the last few, so maybe.

Went to the theatre and "saw" it yesterday. It was amusing reading all the reviews from the various horror sites ripping the movie for this and that.
They need to realize it's the FIFTH movie in this franchise. NOTHING is going to be new or fresh and anything they do is going to be compared to the first four. The movie was okay, wasn't good, wasn't bad, they have finally set up Hoffman as the evil genius from here on out. That was their goal after they killed off Jigsaw was to move on to someone else and they have finally done that. We shall see how things unfold in part 6.

Yeah, I doubt the makers and producers of Saw aren't looking for oscar winning moments or shock and awe scenes but just entertainment for those who thirst for blood and like a little cynicism and sadism in their life.

They're only making these movies for one reason at this point and it has nothing to do with anything you just said.
It's all about the $$$. Fans of the series are dumb enough to keep pouring money into something that's sucked since the second year.
