Yeah but somehow the bots are getting around it or humans are actually signing up all these bullshit accounts. Normally when you're hit with a spam shitstorm turing off comments or registration for a few days normally works, but these assholes will not go away. |

It's my dream to start another horror website. Remember this was our first site ever, and we didn't really know what we know today. The major problem is my likes are so broad I really don't fit in with a lot of horror fans; a lot of people don't get my humor, and are not interested in pop culture like I am. If I started a second site I would probably just do a general entertainment site that was horror heavy. As for killing HYB I never thought about it until that one dark day when Chad made me pull most of its content. Now that I'm over my hissy fit I don't think I will ever close it. Horror Yearbook is known in the horror community and it has been a thorn in a lot of people's sides. I would keep it around just as a reminder to them and for the few people who like to visit it. It may be falling apart, but that has always been the charm of it. Remember John from Retro Slashers called it "Fangoria on crack" and he was absolutely right! I also don't do web design and couldn't imagine adding to my long list of responsibilities. |

Also remember Horror Websites don't make money. Fangoria doesn't pay its writers, and the guys from Dread Central probably have other jobs. Brad from BD is probably the only person who makes money, and it wouldn't surprise me if he had a day job, or that his wife had a well paying job.
Only really big sites make money off advertising. A lot of bloggers make their money off affiliate programs, like I do with porn.
