I'm trying to see what the point of Twittering is.. but I've already lost interest. I think it's cool if you have a site like HYB, and can post quick snippits of news and whatnot, but just trying to post shit about my day seems a bit too monotonous, and unimportant to anyone but myself.

It's another "self absorbed" site to add to the list ... myspace is the most self absorbed site though. I think i keep my page pretty basic but some people have a page full of stupid shit about themselves.... who are they trying to convince? i like videos and pic's from movies and yada yada but i don't care what kind of princess you are or what kind of flower you are ...  |

Yeah. I'm pretty sure once I get out of the service, I won't use it as much as I do right now. It's a good way to keep in touch with people, but has definitiley lost it's charm over the last few years.

I agree ,,, I like to stay in touch with people on there, it's nicer than email IMO ....
I cannot tell you how many people I have deleted because I get so tired of some of the cliche bullshit. Granted I have a few cliche aspects on mine as well but it is all meant with humor. I can laugh at myself so I might as well let others.

I'm actually thinking of deleting my myspace. hell, I have 465 friends and only keep in touch with about 4 of them. What the hell am I trying to promote?
If I delete it, I'll only add close friends.

Okay ... my question is this .... who in the hell has time to make fake profiles? That in and of itself is a tad scary but it is definitely sad.
I know half of the people on my profile in person and the other 3/4 are my online horror friends. 1/4 of them are just some things I am interested in (ie:singers, actors, etc)
I love interacting with people on there though.

Good point and question. It seems to me that if someone has a profile with only one picture, hardly any friends, and not much normal info, and let's not forget a URL like this: myspace.com/573295843675, it's probably fake.
I have heard through the bird that hackers are getting slicker at it. But that's just my opinion.
