You may actually agree on this one. The person running the MySpace for 8 Films to Die For, (After Dark Horror Fest, who I believe is a part of Lions Gate, who runs 8 Scams to Die For...Got it? They're all the same thing)......... So the person who runs 8 Films to Die For's My Space was saying that Captivity wasan empowering film for woman, they have been trying to milk every angle for that film. If they believed it would sell them one more ticket they would of told you it contained child porn, if that is what you liked. Anyway our writer Tyler told them what he thought about their tactics (I am not too sure so I cannot speak for Tyler so much) and they published that Blog about us.
Now that you dragged my soapbox back out for me, this is my point. UltimateFaggo (Sorry Andrew) or that Gprime asperger guy wants to get on me because I am drunk and rather tell poop jokes, He also tried to make fun of me because I claim that HYB is made up of a diverse group and we all have banned together to work on a horror website together. The truth of the matter is I could care less about the people behind Captivity claiming that their film empowers women (which I am sure it does not), but Tyler (and probably Royce) did care. Now we're getting shit again. YOU CAN'T WIN!
So while the asperger's at Dread central giggle and blow one another, HYB keeps getting shit because the staff here actually have a mind of their own, enjoy what they do and are not a bunch of asperger dicks. The great thing is the people who make up HYB, including you, make for a nice rounded opinionated group who may not always see eye to eye and are not ruled by a collective and YES an elitist colective thought like the other websites are.
We welcome everyone who is part of the horror genre to come here and discuss horror movies, horror drama, horror business and don't have our noses so far up Romero's ass and YES even Eli Roth's, or whomever's ass that we can't see straight.
Before I get too crazy once again, my point is HYB made the national print ads of Hostel 2 claiming it was "One of the best horror films of the last ten years" the same day Royce published his article bashig Eli Roth, you show me that on one of the other horror websites and I'll take it up the ass from Uncle Creepy myself.
So After Dark Horrorfest was very wrong for ripping us, we have done nothing but support them from day 1, even though I had reservations about it after their first scam-fest. I think it was childish of them and that is my territory damn it!
