You guys just got a decent write-up in Rue Morgue. I just read it while I was on the toilet, serious! They kind of said the same things I said in my review of Death Row. The acting is quite good for a film of it's nature, but I also did not dig the music. Why I never published my review and chose to just publish a short article about the DVD being for sale is a mystery that we have never been able to solve here. We will just have to deal with it.
Do you have a new film in the works?
Here is the interview link.
http://www.horroryearbook.com/2007/01/05/interview-w-quiroz-brothers-hood-of-the-living-dead-by-molly-celaschi/Yeah, the mailed me the issue about a week or two ago. They contacted us and told us that Lance was gonna do a review of all of our horror movies that Todd Bridges has been in and they needed a copy of "DEATH ROW" so I sent it to them. We're happy with the reviews/write-up. They were honest reviews, so it didn't bother me personally that Lance didn't dig the music. I've never considered myself much of a composer by any means, but I do the best that I can do with the amount of time I have to turn in the finished masters to Image. I would love to be able to have the time to come through with some bad-ass Carpeneter-esque score, but unfortunately, in the contracts we sign with distributors, there is always a time-limit to turn in the finished product. And with "DEATH ROW" it was our fourth back-to-back-to-back-to-back film, so as you can imagine, we were on a horrible time-crunch. Anyway, glad to hear you liked the movie WiL (except for music). But it's cool. Hopefully you'll like our next horror film 100% including the music.
