I just got a fucking ad that took up my whole page ... it was PRINCESS CRUISES!!!
I don't think that is anything close to horror. Although it did horrify me.
On the side of my page right now I have
ALOT.COM ALOT MUSIC TOOLBAR
GAMEFLY - 10 day trial
On the top advert it is showing something about CSI: investigate a crime scene ... some Wii game shit.

I've had the Princess Cruises one as well. In addition to Classmates.com and some dress up doll shit. They'll pop up every now and then when you click a topic and you can't get rid of them until the skip ad thing pops up.
Right now on the sides I have Gamefly, InsWeb, and Get a free Walmart gift card.

These new ads suck! Princess Cruises and Zwinky (sp?) are the WORST!!! It takes fucking forever before the "skip ad" option comes up.
Current ads I'm looking at:
Chevy trucks
Boost Mobile
Gamefly

I need to know the ones that mess up the forums. Like take over the page, break the page, won't let you click on a link. Not the ones that you think are lame. All I ever seem to see is CSI ads and they are fine.
I told Chad to get rid of the Zwinky and Classmate ads. The Gamefly ad has been there since the day we launched the MB.

What keeps happening to me is this... Every time I go into the forum (for the first time in a session) I get a large popup ad that fills up my whole screen with a white background. The ad inside the white background is always different - but is usually Zwinkie, Princess Cruises, Classmates Finder, or some Credit Report shit with a speedometer. The ads take forever to load, and sometimes freeze before you finally get the option to SKIP AD. When they freeze I have to hit back arrow and try again. Yes, I already have popup blocker. It doesn't do shit. When I just came in today I also got a small popup that said CONGRADULATIONS YOU JUST WON A FREE LAPTOP! That was in addition to the white background bullshit I went though to get in. If you go to check unread messages or go back to the main menu the white background ad sometimes happens again. These new ads are fucking ruthless, and they don't make the boards fun to navigate.  |
