2010 Top Ten List

Our year end recap/ top ten list is the most popular article every year (2008 had over 10,000 views in just 1 week!). Unfortunately I don't think there were ten good horror movies released this year. So I think I'm going to have our writers just write about their favorite movie(s) of 2010 instead of doing a top ten list.

Since that means we will have to do away with the voting system,  message board member are welcome to submit their favorite movie.

We will be keeping Brain Hammers DVD Pick (if he has one), Moronic Mark's Worst Movie(s) of the Year (if he is still around), Asshole of the Year, Random Quotes: The Best Quotes of 2010 (which I don't think we have a lot of this year ), and Hottest Horror Babe.

I'll have to look at what else I bought this year and try to come up with something interesting. Galaxy Of Terror is a contender too.

Wow, there really wasn't that many good horror movies this year. I'd say Piranha 3D is my top pick. Will there be a top ten of the decade list?

Too much work.

This year has to be one of the worst years for horror that I can remember. Only good movies I can name are, Splice (not really horror), Piranha 3D, and Rare Exports (not really horror). I wish I could catch Let Me In before we do the list but I missed it in theaters.

I love my Wraith DVD but it was kind of weak on special features. I will probably give Arrow Films best distribution this year. The Day and Dawn of the Dead DVDs blew my butthole apart!

When the fuck did Daybreakers come out?  The new Wolfman was aight.  Dark Night of the Scarecrow was a cool DVD release.  There was also a bunch of Corman shit.  I dunno... wow.. there isn't a whole lot is there?

Daybreakers was early this year. January 8, 2010. I know this because I still have one of the fucking blood packs laying on my desk. That was kind of a disappointment.

Here's what I could muster for a top 10...I wish I could have seen "Let Me In" too, but my theater didn't even get it in.

Yuck, the Nightmare on Elm Street (Remake) doesn't even deserve an honorable mention and you put it in your Top 10?  Honestly, I don't think any remake deserves to be in any Top 10...EVER!

Eh, I actually liked it all right. Not as much as when I first posted my thoughts on it, but I still don't absolutely hate it. I think I should state that the movies on my list from 6 on down, I found to be mediocre at best. They're pretty much there because I happen to have watched them and there were no other movies I could think of to put on there instead (they're there for filler). If it makes you feel any better, I'm renting Splice tomorrow, so it will most likely knock the Nightmare remake off the list.

I just realized I forgot to put Paranormal Activity 2 on there and I was tempted to replace one of the movies on the list with it, but given that I absolutely forgot about it, I decided it wasn't really worth doing.
