anyone else miss this late night movie series?

it was one of my favorite series growing up...i remember how naive i was, hoping that a censor would screw up and a boob or 2 would appear on tv....ahhh, to be 8 years old again. they played so many movies that would never make it onto cable television today.

it's a shame that late nght television has become nothing more than just a repeat of programming that aired earlier in the day. if i wanted to watch one of the 3,000 law and order spinoffs i'd do it during the evening time. leave the late nights open for schlock like bikini carwash company, summercamp nightmare, and surf nazi's must die.

they really should revive this series, especially with how flooded the straight to video/dvd market is these days.

anyone else have any memories of this series?

I loved the series back in the day. Check out some USA Up All Night host segments:

I agree 100% that it sucks there aren't any b-movies on late night anymore. I miss the glory days of Commander USA's Groovy Movies, Night Flight, Up All Night, Saturday Night Nightmares, and of course Joe Bob Brigg's Drive-In Saturday Night on the Movie Channel and Monster Vision on TNT.

I always caught censorship slip ups on Bravo or E! - it was great.

Joe Bob Briggs is the boss...fuck springsteen.

I loved when they aired Friday the 13th the Final Chapter on Monster Vision. His explanation of the fat hitch hikers death always cracked me up. He was all like "why did she have to die? what did she do? it's not like she had sex or anything. Were they trying to say that eating that banana was the equivalent of sex for her?"

Classic. I loved his showtime series too....saw many Shannon Tweed movies on that program.

I loved these series. I own alot of the movies that they showed...but it's not quite the same without the hosts making their own comments and pointing out peculiar things every few scenes.

I never thought i'd long for the glory days of Gilbert f'n Gottfried....must be a sign of the apocolypse

Rhonda sure knew how to keep this boy "up all night." I don't know why every network has gone away from this kind of show. They would rather air countless episodes of CSI and Law and Order Back Woods Bumfuck. I grew up on Up All Night and Commander USA. The USA network in the 80s was fantastic. This along with Saturday Nightmares was my first exposure to many of the classic horror movies. It led me to rent the uncut versions of these movies. It helped make me the perverted horror fan I am today.
