HARPER’S ISLAND is a 13-episode murder mystery about a group of family and friends who travel to a secluded island for a destination wedding. Wedding guests and island locals, every person is a suspect. No one is safe. No one can be trusted. By the end of the 13 episodes, all questions will be answered, the killer will be revealed and only a few will survive.

You know, I thought people might talk about this more after the first real episode, but I guess not. 

I missed the pilot episode, but read that I didn't miss much.  In fact, I think they recapped the pilot in the first episode because at the beginning of episode 1 they were getting on the boat to go to the island and it still gave us plot points that are probably going to come into play later in the series.  The biggest surprise to me were the death scenes.  I originally thought that it was going to be one person dying in every episode, but they threw a curve and killed two right away.  One guy meets his end strapped to a boat propeller and another gets chopped compeletely in half.  For a T.V. series I was pretty surprised.

I don't know if I'm the only one that really got into it, but if you haven't, and you're a "slasher" fan, I highly recommend it.  It's definitely not a bad way to spend your Thrusday nights.
