Just wanted to say that this was FUCKING AWESOME.   It was a breath of fresh air for the zombie genre.  Holy fuck.. was that so hard to make an amusing zombie flick?  AND LOOK!  It's fucking possible to make a horror comedy without trying to be the next fucking Shaun of the Dead.

I wasnt as impressed as everybody else. I didnt like the whole BILL MURRAY part, It slowed down the movie. But I still enjoyed it.   THE DIRECTORS CUT SHOULD HAVE AN EXTENDED INTRO FEATURING THE ENTIRE "FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS". I prefer my Zombie movies more serious, like the remake Dawn of the Dead, The horror should outweigh the comedy or it becomes another stupid ZOMBEDY !!!!.

I've said the exact same thing...at the very least the dvd should have a slow motion video for the whole song as a bonus feature. That would RULE!!!

The opening credits were the best part of the movie, hands down.

The Bill Murray bit is only really funny if you are a big Bill Murray nut. I thought it was great, but my girlfriend on the other hand was like "meh." It DOES slow the movie down though, no doubt.

Overall, I really liked Zombieland - and that is weird because I normally don't like horror/zombie comedies. But this one made me laugh for some reason.

I don't really get why people are freaking out over the whole "horror-comedy" angle, you know...like it's something NEW. Horror and comedy sits side by side...always has. It's such a thin line. I mean shit...you could call NOES 3-6 horror comedies...same goes for all Childs Play movies after the first one, Return Of The Living Dead is a horror comedy, shit so's The Evil Dead! Comedy in horror movies is nothing new at all, matter of fact...you could trace it all the way back to Bride Of Frankenstein and The Invisible Man, but damn near every review I read people are like, "Wow! They mixed horror and comedy! What a fucking concept!"

Gimme a break.

The movie didn't see the success that it has because it's some kind of new concept, it succeeded because it's just a good goddamn movie...and yeah..

...a billion times better than Shaun of the Dead.

I'm so happy to see zombie movies finally breaking out of enclosed spaces! It's about damn time.

I didnt say it was a new concept, what I said was, I DONT LIKE HORROR COMEDIES, The only comedy that belongs in a horror movie is black comedy. An example, CHOP TOP in TCM 2.  I dont like Shaun of the dead. They should have stopped making funny Zombie movies after CHUD 2, Bud the Chud... Once the comedy angle outweighs the horror and the subject matter becomes mainstream "breaking out of enclosed spaces" I will pass.  People always Fuck Up the humor in horror. Whats funny about a guy heating up a hanger and eating the flesh of his plate cover? You have to be twisted to understand it. Whats funny about Bill Murray dressing up as a Zombie to fit in? It might have been funny if it was some stupid comedy but this is a zombie movie. The next piece of crap ZOMBEDY to come along will probably have RAPPING ZOMBIES in it and everyone will love it and it will be a huge success, proving that the people who liked it are the real Zombies.

I still want to see this movie...at this point I'll just wait for the DVD.  But I make it a point to check out new zombie flicks, even if they suck, I'm always compelled to see.  The only way I get my zombie fix nowadays is through the novels and older films.
