On May 24th Arrow Video is Releasing CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD on Bluray
Here's a more Indepth listings of the Special features.
The Extras:
The extras begin with the packaging itself. Arrow Films have included four interchangeable sleeve options with differing art for the film. Inside there are six poster-art postcards, a mini-poster, and a companion booklet called Fulci of the Living Dead. The disc contains two commentary tracks as well. There’s a newly recorded track with Giovanni Lombardo Radice and a second one with Catriona MacColl and Jay Slater that was originally recorded several years ago for a previous release. The additional featurettes are listed below.
Fulci In the House: The Italian Master of Splatter (17 min, SD) – This includes anecdotes and memories of Fulci from Joe Dante, Anthony Timpone, and others. It’s also the only extra presented in standard definition and PAL format. If your TV can handle PAL you’ll be fine, but if not you’re out of luck.
Carlo of the Living Dead: Surviving Fulci Fear (16 min) – Interview with Carlo De Mejo interspersed with multiple clips and photos from the films he made with Fulci.
Dame of the Dead: Catriona MacColl Returns to the City (23 min) – Interview with Catriona interspersed with multiple clips and photos from her films with Fulci. Her memories of the maggot scene in particular offer a fascinating glimpse into the mind of a young actress at the early stage of her career.
Fulci’s Daughter: Memories of the Italian Gore Maestro (27 min) – Interview with Antonella interspersed with multiple clips and photos from her father’s films. She talks about being a child onset, Fulci’s feud with Dario Argento over the “Zombie” name, and more.
Penning Some Paura: Dardand Sacchetti Remembers City of the Living Dead (18 min) – Interview with Dardand interspersed with multiple clips and photos from the films he wrote for Fulci. He talks about the freedom that came from writing scripts that made zero sense, and he admits that while he enjoyed setting up the action scenes the payoffs were all Fulci and his effects crew.
Profundo Luigi: A Colleague’s Memories of Lucio Fulci (16min) – Interview with Luigi Cozzi who was part of the Italian genre film scene at the same time as Fulci. He talks about the industry throughout the seventies and eighties and the twin giants of Argento and Fulci.
Live from the Glasgow Theatre (24 min) – This is a Q&A session featuring Catriona MacColl and Giovanni Lombardo Radice. The two spoke with an audience in Scotland after a sold-out screening of the film. Thankfully, subtitles are provided for the Scottish audience members.
The Many Lives (and Deaths) of Giovanni Lombardo Radice (50 min) – This is easily the best feature on a disc filled with entertaining extras. Giovanni discusses his acting career with a focus on his work in horror films where he seemed to always play guys who get killed. And his deaths were always violent and bloody. Starting with House On the Edge of the Park and continuing up through Stagefright he talks about the films, the directors, and having to hide his dick during sex scenes. The section about making the abysmal Cannibal Ferox is particularly fantastic.
Gallery of the Living Dead – A selection of stills from the movie.
Theatrical Trailer – Here is the film’s trailer in six different audio flavors… English Dolby Digital Mono/Stereo, English DTS-HD 5.1/7.1 Surround Sound, and Italian Dolby Digital Mono/Stereo

I haven't seen Slumber Party Massacre 3. I have the other 2 OOP discs so i'm not sure if I'll be grabbing that.
Will definitely upgrade on Maniac if it has new extras..

VCI Entertainment will unleash a batch of Halloween titles on October 19, and even though some of them are just repackaged, we thought it was worth mentioning. The batch will include THE DEMON (presented widescreen for the first time on DVD) starring Cameron Mitchell, a double feature of HORRORS OF THE BLACK MUSEUM and THE HEADLESS GHOST (first time on DVD!), CHILDREN SHOULDN’T PLAY WITH DEAD THINGS, a double feature of THE SWAMP OF THE RAVENS and I EAT YOUR SKIN, a double feature of RUBY and KISS OF THE TARANTULA and Mario Bava’s BLOOD AND BLACK LACE. All the discs will retail for $14.99 each, and you can check out the covers here: http://www.dvddrive-in.com/features/vcioct2010promo.htm

Heh, I remember when VCI put out ome of those DVDs originally (still have my CSPWDT DVD), though I am quite excited to hear of THE DEMON finally getting a decent release. They ought to re-issue BLOOD CULT and CROCODILE... LOL.
OK, as Senor Schnaas Diehard, this is a mandatory update for me: Synapse will be releasing VIOLENT SHIT 1-3 as well as ZOMBIE '90 as a boxset next year. I tried to get some more info from Don May, but all he would tell me was that they had just finished the transfers (or something, converting from PAL to NTSC) and no word on extras yet... since it's Synapse I'd like to assume there would be some new extras. I really hope they aren't just going to repackage the same old German language extras from the German boxsets. That would fucking blow. I'm hoping for English commentary from Andreas on at least the first 2, and possibly Zombie 90...
Also, evidently there are some possibilities that Olaf Ittenbach's THE BURNING MOON will be released on DVD in the States. Nothing's confirmed or set in stone. Only reason I know is because I sent Olaf a message, and he wrote me back saying htere were some companies interested... and he actually mistook me for wanting to release it onto DVD, LOL. Will be interesting if that happens though, I've always wanted to see the whole movie.

ha that Violent Shit boxset was supposed to be released years ago. I'll probably buy it if it's not too much. I've seen Burning Moon on VHS, is there footage cut out of it?

Yeah, Unearthed Films was supposed to release them with a ton of extras in '06 or so, I remembered being pretty fucking excited, then.... nothing. I emailed Stephen from Unearthed about it, he said the owner backed out at the last minute. What an ass.
Cool that Synapse is putting them out though, if this promise is broken I swear I'm going to have a fucking aneurysm, LOL!!!! I do hope they put some extras on it. Don May's not really telling much about this, but I hope it's more because he and the Synapse folks are just insanely busy and haven't gottena whole lot of work done on it.. kinda like Grindhouse does every time they announce a new title. "Hey Matt, a special edition of PIECES is coming out!!" - 2004. Released? 2008. Talk about a 'Sleepaway Camp 4' treatment. But, they evidently just finished the transfers, I'll bet it still looks like shit, but I am curious to see how the finished product looks. But if they could just get English commentaries from Andreas, and possibly Wolgang HInz or Steve Aquilina, that would be quite excellent. I'm very much looking forward to it.
As for BURNING MOON, I really can't say because I've never seen the movie, just random clips and a couple trailers. It looks great (brain spoke pretty highly of it when I was talking to him about SOV gore flicks a while back) but... no official announcement of any kind of DVD release at the moment. It was kinda funny how Olaf thought I was wanting to put it out on DVD though. LOL.

Will the first 2 Violent Shit's be dubbed in English or will they have subtitles? And what about Zombie '90, is it going to keep the same hilarious English soundtrack? That would be cool if they give you the choice of English sound or proper English subtitles b/c for some reason I am a little curious to know what they're actually saying lol
