I found it on VHS finally. I think they have a few copies on Amazon but they were for $35. So you could imagine how excited I was to find this little untouched video store in the middle of nowhere that may of had the most complete horror video collection ever. I asked them if I could buy it and they wanted $45.  Tongue

I did not have much time there but I also found Ninja 3 - Black Roses and Chopping Mall. When I get some money I am going to go back to buy Ninja 3 for $25. I can't find online. If you have any VHS you have been looing for, for years tell me and i will see if they have it.
Do they have Crocodile from 1981?  I want to see it...don't wanna pay too much for a VHS though.

Yea, Larry don't pay too much for it....it's definitely worth a looksee, but not essential by any means.

Next time I am there I will look and get a price for you if they do. I think they just charge the current going price for it on the internet.

I am glad to see that this movie is going to be released on DVD. I am new here and I am trying to find out if I can add my email to a list to be notified as to when this movie will be released on DVD. I was also glad to see that a writer  is saying that it will be a class act DVD , I hope it contains some extras such as interviews and cut/deleted scenes although it was originally aired many years ago. I personally have searched high and low for this movie on DVD online exhaustively for years .someone let me know where I can sign up for a copy

It won't be out until next year and I am keeping very close tabs on it, If you set it so you are notified when this thread is updated you will be able to get an e-mail when the release date or any updates are announced.

It looks like they are aiming for an "early spring '09 release." More Scarecrow info below!

J.D. Feigelson sent us an e-mail saying that DNOTS should be on DVD October this year. There are also  licensed T-shirts  HERE.

Soon to be followed by masks and posters!

The first ever DVD release of Dark Night of the Scarecrow seems to have hit a snag. Writer J.D. Feigelson has informed us that “negotiations with Image Entertainment fell through,” but wants fans to know that they are in talks with several other distributors including Lionsgate.

"Please give my apologies to the fans. Like them I had hoped that “Scarecrow” would be out now. But there are always problems that arise beyond ones control. Let me reassure everyone that the restored version will be well worth the wait."

Feigelson says that a Scarecrow DVD will come out! We just might have to wait until 2010. A

The last time we mentioned the Dark Night of the Scarecrow DVD release was because writer J.D. Feigelson let us know that negotiations with Image Entertainment had broken down, but I can happily report today that things seem to be back on track.

Feigelson sent us an E-mail over the weekend telling us that he recently met with Lionsgate in L.A., and “that contract negotiations are going smoothly and quickly.” Nothing is 100% official but it does look promising that we still might see a DNOTS DVD in 2010. We will definitely keep you updated on this one.

Even though DNOTS is a perfect Halloween movie and I will miss it this time, I am glad Fiegelson has not given up on it's DVD release. So at least by next Halloween Bubba will pay a visit to my living room...
