I found it on VHS finally. I think they have a few copies on Amazon but they were for $35. So you could imagine how excited I was to find this little untouched video store in the middle of nowhere that may of had the most complete horror video collection ever. I asked them if I could buy it and they wanted $45. I did not have much time there but I also found Ninja 3 - Black Roses and Chopping Mall. When I get some money I am going to go back to buy Ninja 3 for $25. I can't find online. If you have any VHS you have been looing for, for years tell me and i will see if they have it.

I found a pretty decent DVD-R version of Dark Night of the Scarecrow for $10 over at: www.myspace.com/horrorclassicksCheck it out if your interested. Personally? I think the movie is too good not to be interested. NightmareManiac

One of the best made for TV horror movies Dark Night of the Scarecrow is finally getting a DVD release! HMF Radio broke the news that writer, J.D. Feigelson is currently working to release the DVD for 2009.
Dark Night of the Scarecrow is one of the most elusive horror movies on VHS, costing up to $50 online, or at horror movie conventions. This is probably the second most exciting horror DVD news of 2008, since it was announced that Pieces was getting a proper DVD release.

Yeah that really needs to be on DVD. Who do we contact? Maybe we should start breaking more Netflix DVDs to get what we want?

Dark Night is amazing. It's one of those TV Movies that absolutely rivals its theatrical counterparts. I'm glad it's getting an offical DVD release. If there's one film that deserves to find a wider audience, it's this one.

Here is a technical update for all of you who care:
"It is a total frame one digital restoration. The DVD is being made from the original 35mm Panavision Interpositive through the Sony HD Cam SR system. The soundtrack is being restored and remixed from the original 35mm D,M &E tracks and will be rendered to 5.1 and regular two channel stereo as in the original. National distribution will be in 2009 but the actual date has not been set. I am personally producing and supervising the restoration so that it will be totally faithful to the original."

Do they have Crocodile from 1981? I want to see it...don't wanna pay too much for a VHS though.
