In theaters 9-9-11

Promising a week of fun and relaxation, a group of six friends’ head out on a road trip to New Orleans. Deciding to stop at a roadside tourist trap along the Louisiana back-roads, they are introduced to the legend of Lockjaw, the local version of Bigfoot. A creature part man, part alligator… the legend tells of an inbred local man by the name of Grimley who lost his family to a monstrous white alligator and was driven to madness when he was too late to save his pregnant bride (also his sister!) from the beast. In a fit of rage, he ate the ancient alligator and was cursed and transformed into the monster that became known as Lockjaw.

Their curiosity peaked, the group decides to head deeper into the swamps to check out the birthplace of the Creature legend. As they journey further into the backwoods the group arrives at an old dilapidated cabin and decide to camp there for the night. Setting up camp and unwinding by the campfire, they are blissfully unaware that they are being watched…

Soon, an innocent road trip to New Orleans becomes a nightmarish and brutal fight for survival deep in the swamplands of the Louisiana Bayou…

Dear Mother of God, the theater at the mall is getting this. Thing is, do I want to make the 30 minute drive? It all depends on what Wil says when he gets back from seeing this.

I would travel 30 min to see this. Problem, where I am its flooded ( again) and I might just stay at a holiday inn just to avoid all the traffic and detours

This'll all depend on Wil's review. If he gives it an enthusiastic thumbs-up, i'll head out tomorrow for the 4:10 showing.

Seriously I'm still confused. The monster looked cool, but the movie made no sense at all. People kept walking out of the theater it was so bad. It had lots of titties though.

Skipping it, then. Wow. The trailer looks SO cool. Could it have been edited? Maybe they'll be an UNCUT version, or something. So, THE MILLENNIUM BUG is STILL on top as the best monster movie released this year, and in many years.

Yes, it's like they just stuck random scenes together as an excuse to shoot footage of the monster. I would go into detail but it will spoil the film.

I just read a review at DREAD CENTRAL which said there is basically NO SERIOUS gore. What?!

I don't know what "serious" gore means but there are no memorable kill scenes.  They even managed to miss a few great opportunities for gore, like in the beginning when some chick gets eaten by an alligator. There are a lot of scenes of people emerging from things. It looked like the director was obsessed with The Descent and wanted to recreate that famous scene.

The movie doesn't suffer from your typical horror movie plot holes like "why did she run up the stairs when the open door was right in front of her." It suffered from the creators not being able to put a movie together properly. I'm still confused to as what happened in this  film.

Teddy, I posted the nudes on She So Crazy. There is one missing scene of her topless, but she has a lesbian scene.
