Here's an update for those wondering why I haven't been doing many reviews lately.
I got burnt out (in more ways than one) with the screeners and have officialy retired the
IT CAME FROM THE MAILBOX column. I have no desire to watch these movies, much less review them. I also have no interest in e-mailing people and begging them for hand outs. I have better things to do with my life. Looking back, I should have called that column SHIT CAME FROM MY MAILBOX.
I've also given up on the once-weekly DVD PICKS. There was a time when so much cool stuff was coming out it seemed worth doing. As the many months have gone by (check the archives, I've done a fucking ton of these columns over the last few years) less and less stuff worth promoting is coming out. I still routinely check the net looking for dvd updates though, so if there's anything worth mentioning I might bring that column back. For now, it's dead.
So where do I go from here? There's only one answer...I'm going BACK TO THE CRYPT!!! I've been taking time off to recharge my batteries and start getting interested in horror flicks again. Lately I been watching some cool shit in my collection and I'm starting to think I should do some new reviews...
