Sorry, but the remake is bland and it sucks. The origial was clever and interesting. It kept everything behind 'closed doors' and they crappy remake ruined it by showing Jodie and made up loads of shit, and crammed all that into 89 minutes of screen time. I despise that film and wish to burn every print.
The original completely dropped the ball when it came crunch time. The last 10 minutes of the film are so corny that it ruins everything the rest of the film had set up so beautifully. I admit that the inclusion of Jodie in the remake was completely unnecessary, but Ryan Reynolds performance alone made the remake better than the original...and I hate remakes.
